Probably not enough time left to force a win, but the past two days has seen a huge momentum shift.

48 overs to do it. Remember the 60 all out not long ago.

Gah... looks like the Aussies are going to dodge this one.
What a great Test match, though, and the Aussies will have Archer to contend with for the next three Tests :D

How can the match be drawn? I thought Archers was Ambrose and Walsh rolled into one? 10 wickets an inning is the minimum expected from him.

Bairstow . Big headed, beardy cunt with a huge ego who's failed too many times recently

Broad. We have two other medium paced right armers and we need something different. Can't drop Woakes with his record at Lords

Imagine how much better we'd be doing if we'd left these two out. :?

And imagine how much better we’d have done if we’d not picked Comical ‘first name on the team sheet’ Ali when it was clear to anyone with a cricketing brain that he was mentally shot 2 months ago.

Yeah.

Disappointing ending, but a chance now to take the initiative in the series.

(Anything to cheer myself up after witnessing the debacle at Bramall Lane today.) :o

Sadly i didn’t get to see much of the last test but blink and the next one is upon us.
I suspect a similar team for the next match. Root is clearly not comfortable at 3 so maybe switching with Denly will be tried.

Every possibility Smith won’t play which would be a huge blow to them.

What's wrong with you lot? The English are sound, but mad groups of English people act so weird and take "banter" to a new level? Booing a guy who is concussed?

How come us and the Irish don't behave the same? Different breed.

Hope the Aussies win 4-0.

Aussie Aussie Aussie!

If by "you lot" you mean English cricket-fans then you're entirely mistaken.
If you mean football-fans going to their first ever game of cricket because they just want to be in the Barmy Army then you're entirely correct.

Whoever booed a concussed man. Terrible behaviour.

This has the feel of 2005. Australia 1-0 up and cruising until McGrath trod on the ball and twisted his ankle.

My point was that it was just a few of them. I'm not in charge of the crowd-effect microphones or the camera-selection, but the people who are don't always reflect the mood of the crowd as a whole or English cricket-fans as a whole.

I'll draw a comparison with when Smith scored one of his centuries. The director focussed on the Aussies in the crowd applauding, ignoring the fact that everyone, including the English, were also applauding. It wouldn't kill Sky, or whoever, to show that, but they never do.

How were they to know he was concussed ? He'd been sent out to bat 40 mins after a bump on the noggin, the crowd had to assume he was fine.

Spot on, Holden.
