Mr. Cummings not even bothering to tell ministers that he is sacking their SPADs.

Sajid Javid is a dreadful wimp. It would be bad enough if the Prime Minister was sacking his advisors without telling him, let alone one of the Prime Minister’s oddball advisors.

Sounds like Khan had to go, but if Johnson is delegating those sort of decisions, he's asking for big trouble if it's done without communication down the line. Cummings needs to be given the message about that.

We have all seen, heard or read the comments practically every one of the Cabinet said about proroguing parliament and whether one agrees with Johnson’s actions or not, it raises hypocrisy, sycophancy and downright shamelessness to new levels that Rudd, Morgan, Javed and the rest of them can just meekly go along with it given how adamant they were a few short weeks ago when decrying this proposed scenario as being outrageous.

Michael Heseltine was on Channel 4 News last night and he opined that this course of action might have been decided by Cummings and Johnson on their own and that the Cabinet were neither consulted of it nor aware of it prior to the announcement.

Sadly, given the chaotic state the governance of this country has descended to, Heseltine’s theory seems very plausible.

Even if it had been discussed in Cabinet, it would appear that its members are so intimidated they wouldn't have argued anyway.
