Agreed. The best thing is that his sides pull wins out of the bag when his position is on the line and he stays until another poor run of results two months on. The decision keeps on being kicked down the road and the hapless fool remains in charge. Meanwhile, a car crash is always just around the corner and meanwhile the arsehole Woodward gives him more money to get yet more attacking players whilst remaining utterly fucked at the back.

Like everything in football, it’s always in flux. A few bad result and he’ll be back under the cosh. You just try to ignore the Twitter Lol Hashtag types.

I try to look at the broader picture:

They’re a better team than when he arrived.
The mentality of the team is vastly improved.
He’s done a cracking job of shovelling out the shite in the squad.
His signings have been largely improvements on what’s already there.

At the start of the season I said getting closer to challenging for the title should be the goal and at the halfway stage he’s on track.

Can’t say fairer than that.

Given the average tenure of a manager at a Premier League club is about 14 months then he’s already an old head, so I’d say he’s done okay.
