Early squad news for the test series in NZ later this year.

Buttler to keep wicket (Foakes also being considered as an option)
Bairstow not ruled out but will only get a place as a batsman if selected.
Anderson, Wood & Stone to miss out due to injury - Saqib Mahmood may be selected
Pope will be in squad alongside one or both out of Sibley & Crawley

You just had a World Cup, ''The Ashes'' and WTF is this pish? 2 months of them playing in NZ?

The answer is no. The cricket calendar is now never ending. Off to South Africa after a short break. Then Sri Lanka and then we are back to the English season. Mix in the Big Bash and IPL.

Been there and done both. The architecture's great, but aside from that Napier is a bit like Brighton before it became a hip place to hang out - right down to the stony beach and sea front filled with cheap and cheerful B&Bs.

(Although much like Brighton it's probably changed a lot since I was last there.)

The answer is no. The cricket calendar is now never ending. Off to South Africa after a short break. Then Sri Lanka and then we are back to the English season. Mix in the Big Bash and IPL.

And many of those nations like England have different T20 and fifty over teams from the test teams. The inaugural test championship started recently involving I think it was South Africa and India. How did that progress?

The NZ series doesn't count towards it for some reason, so no points up for grabs in November. The reason for all the T20s is that the T20 World Cup takes place roughly 12 months from now.
