Gaunt thread.

The most depressing thing on TF - and yes, I know it's a competitive field - clicking on and seeing the words.

"Gaunt - part 37...!

God's teeth! Why?!
I can fully understand why people get worked up about Brexit or global climate bollocks or football or Talksport shitwhiffery, but Gaunt?!

He couldn't hold a captive audience in a mausoleum.

Even in his lardy pomp he was a Pound Shop Littlejohn that was 99p overcharging.

The Gaunt thread on here is like some lost Amazonian or New Guinea tribe. Only a dozen or so left on the earth. They are the last speakers in their almost extinct tongue and the only people they can talk to are each other.
The world carries on, blissfully unaware of them and their calorie hoarding idol.

Jesus, just let the cunt whither into a sobbing heap in his own kitchen.

It's as pointless and fruitless as playing the sackbut, reading Lytton Strachey biographies or supporting Everton.

We need to create a section on here purely for deranged obsessives .

To get it off to a flying start you can stick The Trump thread, The Boris Johnson thread and The Nigel Farage thread in it straight away.

And if you took away the ramblings of the demented remoaners from the Brexit thread, we'd still only be on part 2.

There's just been a Rees Mogg thread started.
Maybe another contender?
After only one post it already bears the hallmarks.

If it gets to part 37, then you may have a point. But at least Rees Mogg is a public figure.
Gaunt is even irrelevant to his underwear.

He's the pioneer of internet broadcasting, therefore of similar status to Berners-Lee who invented the damn thing.

He may have had no listeners and got the sack, but no one can say he didn't make a massive impact.

Massive impact? Yeah, if he falls out his hostel window?

Come on bas, it's not like most threads in d&d don't turn into a gammons versus sjws borefest.

I could see Gaunty and MG competing in a 20,000 calorie cook-off as they both fancy themselves as celebrity chefs.

I think the tS threads are going the same way. Like Gaunt, people seem to universally hate the station and yet spend many hours listening and endlessly critiquing the sorry mess. With C&R and Erskine as the self appointed Statler and Waldorf of the forum.

There is nothing more boring and actually idiotic and ironic than people complaining about the Gaunt thread :D
