Angels of the North

Not for the first time in our history, the working man has stepped up in a time of national crisis to save the nation.
In northern constituencies particularly they have rallied to preserve our independence in the face of an establishment and media war of attrition the likes of which we have not witnessed before.
It's no small thing to defy the anger and fanaticism of socialists in places where they are most influencial, rich and entrenched - and yet the "Workington man" did just that, refusing to see his vote ignored over Brexit and standing tall in the fight to defend our idea that the people are the ultimate earthly authority, not some self annointed kings in Westminster.

Now , be that as it may, what can we now do to show our gratitude to them ? How can we address the complaints they have which ever made them vulnerable to the lie of socialism ?

Let's make absolutely sure now that we invest in these areas and provide them with the very best of opportunity and even if it means tilting the board temporarily, let's make sure they have our support and that we remove any disadvantage they may have suffered in the past

My thoughts exactly.

I would love to hear Boris say something to the same effect.

It's now imperative this happens.

Build those northern rail links and start some new heavy industry up there.

Sensible idea. Makes me wonder if HS2 could have been redeployed to somewhere more useful.

It would be a great thank you if it happened from what were previously 'kept apart' factions just in cae they agreed too much and forced the London centric elites to actually look up elsewhere.

^ actually the land costs and compensation would bring that cost down tenfold.

Why isn't this happening?

It must. We must also start massive building programs up there to provide housing, work for builders and business for local suppliers. What about expanding forestry too ?

The only downside is it is doing Wee Cranky a favour which may be subject to abuse.
