My company wanted to put mine up over a £100. When queried; "you have a claim on your record".
I pointed out that the claim was settled, as the other party's company accepted liability with a few hours and my company had agreed I had no fault and paid me in full [a write off].
I ended up with £50 more because my replacement was newer and worth more than the wreck.
Still robbers though.

Happens every year, but I call my insurance company and the price miraculously falls.
Zambo posted on this a while ago, I think, and his quote went up hugely, then came back down again when he complained.
Insurance companies = bunch of cunts.

Not even going to bother discussing it with them. Going to move to the cheaper aforementioned new company / policy.

They are counting on the customers who don't want the hassle of phoning or switching.
Energy companies Ditto.

Yeah, seems like they're all at it.
Pays to shop around / phone and 'diacuss' with them.

You should also be getting £25 back as a refund for under use of the car. My GF is with Admiral and had an email from them.

What amazes me about Admiral is how, in their TV ads, they took a reasonably attractive girl, put her in a military style uniform, and managed to make her less attractive.
That's quite a feat to pull off.

Couldn't you go on a speed choice course or have you been done before?

No, i wasn't given the option. Straight £100 fine and 3 points.
First speeding offence as well.
As per some later posts Admiral knocked the renewal quote down to match a couple of others i found online then due to COVID they sent everyone who has a car insured with them £25 per car. So it turned out not too badly
