Day two of my hospital stay. For those who champion private care, I was checked in for chemo at 8am yesterday and eventually hooked up to my chemo pump at 9pm. The health service is on its knees, mainly because it's an on-demand treatment service with very little screening to detect and prevent health conditions.

Good to hear your news, Vespa. That sounds very positive from the Doctor, fingers crossed and I hope your last chemo session goes well tomorrow.

Take care.

Just been told I need another operation before Christmas, the good news is it's under local and I'll be out in two days. I've got so many scars now it looks like I've been in a bombing.

Good luck for the operation, Vespa. :smt023
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Thanks, it's a day thing I've had before - they keep putting implants into me then taking them out.

What local health authority if you don't mind, I'll tell my private ambulance to keep going.

Sorry not closely followed your progress, so from your above post and with private healthcare you still had to wait 13hrs to get hooked up for chemo?

The 13 hour wait was for the private hospital room to come available.

I've never had to wait 13 hours to get chemo when I was on the NHS or private. The chemo ward is pretty much the same, I can just get drugs that aren't on the NHS; specifically bevacizumab. You also get to meet the department head more often for the grand price of £300 for 30 minutes.

The room was blocked by some guy waiting for his discharge.
