Oh I know about that one! Yeah, really, really fucking strange. Disappears in a beam of light right in front of 5 or 6 of his lumberjack (I think) workmates, extensive police and rescue service searches turn up nothing, then weeks later he turns up at his ma's front door after he's assumed dead, convinced he's only been away a few hours.
Something like that anyway, it's been a while since I read about it.
It's one of the few that everyone involved, including police and rescue, were convinced he was actually abducted.

I finished listening to it last night. At first I thought he suffered psychosis. Could this be possible? I know a gentleman who had a psychotic breakdown a few years ago. He almost died and genuinely believed the most bizarre things, including otherworldly phenomenon. The human mind is an uncertain creature. However, the Walton case is very strange. Apparently, his breakdown occurred after the event; his work colleagues saw the UFO-craft, as did others many kilometres away. Why would the witnesses lie? Also, Walton was missing for five days. Where did he go? Why didn't people see him?
Sceptics argue that Walton and his work colleagues cooked up the story for monetary gain and notoriety.
