The problem seems to be that they are trying to attract an audience that no longer exists, Judge.
Youngsters listen to music through Spotify, Youtube music etc. They aren't interested in radio.
So, Radio 2 is caught in no mans land. They've alienated over 50's by getting rid of favourite DJ's, but they are struggling to attract under 50's who access music via alternative means.
As a non Radio 2 listener, I don't really give a shit. But I suppose, as the BBC is funded by us, you have to wonder if Radio 2 is giving value for money or is even relevant anymore.
