Without wanting to go all Arsenal knobhead “net spend”, if you actually look at United’s incoming vs outgoing transfer fees it equates to roughly £70m per season (almost as though there’s a strict budget which Ed Woodward keeps quiet about). So trying to compete with a club like City who are able to repeatedly piss away £50m on fullbacks is a tall order.kancutlawns wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 8:12 pmManchester United too but them winning the prem is too much to contemplate.subsub wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 8:10 pmtheleader82 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 7:58 pm With the amount Liverpool have spent on on players it was only a matter of time before they won the title
Erm, do you know how much Man City have spent on players over the past five seasons? They should win the league every year if that's the only criteria.

I’ve never disliked Spurs, always had a bit of a soft spot for them. Their games were always entertaining even when they were shite and they generally had some decent players. Also White Hart Lane was one of my favourite grounds in England, proper old school stadium and kept a good atmosphere.henrycrs wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 10:28 pmEven the Spurs fans hate Spurs most of the timekancutlawns wrote:A lot of "neutrals" dislike Spurs, their manager and their owner. Also, probably the fact they were the yin to the yang of Arsenal fans, probably the most insufferable self-righteous cunts in English football. The twats go on as though they invented good football in the British game, talk about it being the “Arsenal way” while conveniently forgetting years of grinding out results and 1-0 to the Arsenal.

Sadderz, they’ve improved and become a force underJose and taken turn to a higher level than when they had Poch which is quite an achievement. I thought he was finished in top level management even at United but he’s bought well and brought players like Sissoko and Lo Celso on well.Sadact7 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 10:43 pmI’ve never disliked Spurs, always had a bit of a soft spot for them. It’s good to see more competition. My point was Spurs have not really been a force to be reckoned with until quite recently. Always been a stylish club but since the 1980s have flattered to deceive. Levy’s considered to be a right cunt by Steve and many of the other Spurs fans but he’s putting his money where his mouth is but Bale was a bit of a mindfuck bringing him here.

Mourinho doesn’t appear to particularly want him and he’s presumably costing them a fortune in wages, something I wouldn’t have expected from Levy as I assume he’d have known Bale would be a bit-part player under Jose.

They also managed to convince everyone that they were being targeted for nasty tackling, roughing up etc. Conveniently forgetting the likes of Wright, Bergkamp, Keown, Vieira all being happy to stick a boot and elbow in.Sadact7 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 10:43 pm

So far so good hopefully!! getting rid of the bottler mentality. Has to be said Kane had a poor game yet again in a really crunch contenders tie .. brilliant as he is. Need others to start scoring too.
Gotta say Liverpool were easily the better team .. ridiculous to suggest otherwise imo

See also Campbell, Lauren, Winterburn and Petit. You’re right about Bergkamp, he was one of the biggest dickheads going.JW90 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 11:50 amThey also managed to convince everyone that they were being targeted for nasty tackling, roughing up etc. Conveniently forgetting the likes of Wright, Bergkamp, Keown, Vieira all being happy to stick a boot and elbow in.Sadact7 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 10:43 pm

They were always dirty, snide bastards during the years when they were good under Wenger. Fine, the best teams would always have to outfight the opponent if necessary. But they suddenly decided physicality was unacceptable. Probably why Van Persie sacked them off, he was one of the very few who relished a scrap.

Lifted off the Fighting Cock fan forum. Reg, do you know the lawyers?
Have you supported Tottenham in the Sugar or Levy reign?
Has your love for Spurs been passed on from you family?
We can help, call Tottenham Lawyers For You to see if you may have a claim, we work on a no win no fee basis
To get started please provide any photos your family has of Spurs lifting trophies, we realise many of these will be in black and white..
Any old Spurs shirts that your family were wicked enough to buy you.
Also please advise how often you were mentally abused with stories about the double winning team of 61 or tails of Greavsie as a goal machine.
Once we have this information we believe you can get substantial compensation to spend in the club shop, or on a Season ticket for your own children
So call Tottenham Lawyers For You
Call 1 800 WE’RE NOT GREEDY WE’RE NICE
Finally the big winners could even get enough money from their retired parents to buy a new flat in our exciting new property portfolio in N17-

Don’t really get JT trolling Spuds fans. Is there any sort of local rivalry between Spurs and Chelsea?

I used to work with a Spurs season-ticket holder. He said the rivalry with Chelsea and West Ham was just as bad as Arsenal.kancutlawns wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 10:34 am Don’t really get JT trolling Spuds fans. Is there any sort of local rivalry between Spurs and Chelsea?
