Re: The Championship 2020/21
I think he's reached a stage where he realises how tough his job is going to be. We beat Huddersfield at home and then Preston away within a few days, and we were set up to get in the top 6, but then lost at home to Wycombe and were outclassed by Bournemouth on Sat, which brought everyone back down to earth. I'll be happy with a mid table finish for his first season. He started well plugging the holes in the defence, but we are desperate for a decent finisher. He did his best in the window and brought 10 in, and that's going to take a while to get them playing as a unit, but much happier all round than with Clotet.Northern Troglodite wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 4:16 pmIs Aitor improving yr lot Zamb?Zambo wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 1:32 pmOh, what a shame.Northern Troglodite wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 1:05 pm Monk sacked again 5 clubs in 5 years !!!! dodgy git who likes a pay off

Lost to Wycombe? They look destined to go back to League 1. How's Hogan this season, Zummers?Zambo wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 4:32 pmI think he's reached a stage where he realises how tough his job is going to be. Hogan has never recovered the form he was in when he first joined. Scored his first goal against Bournemouth since March. Hopefully that will kick start something but we are desperate for another striker.

I heard it for the first time last night. “Wayne Rooney’s Derby County”.

Gotta love warnock ..........Marc Bola was driving around the training ground with his head out of the window as his screen was iced up ...........his reward for a MOM display from Col was......................................a tin of de-icer

Have to be honest, I've paid fuck all attention to the Championship this season. Couldn't tell you who's top. Was totally sick of it by the time we finally got out. Good league but not somewhere you want to be forever.

It used to have things going for it away from the Premier League- more 3pm kick-offs, cheaper tickets- but even they have gone now.

Re: The Championship 2020/21
With the new post-EU transfer rules, it’s going to get worse from a transfer fee perspective. The ridiculous spiralling of fees in the Championship over the last couple of seasons will pale in comparison when clubs dive into the lower leagues instead of having to look abroad.JW90 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 10:21 amIt used to have things going for it away from the Premier League- more 3pm kick-offs, cheaper tickets- but even they have gone now.

Me neither. I think it’s all about Brentford to be honest. They’re everyone’s darling. No one else is worth bothering about in the Championship. Guess last season’s relegated sides from the Prem are somewhere around the top.
EDIT: and on looking, they occupy the top three places.

Still the same as ever man ........10 teams with 4 pts between them , great mad league .......or people can just get in the PL & hope to survive , because most cant compete with the top 6 .....before returning to whence they came
