Been using Squarespace for several years and it's great. You can get something looking really good and very easy to add stuff. Cheaper alternatives of course.

I've just written a WordPress blog, if you just want plug and play get Squarespace.

I concur.
WordPress is idiot proof.Hence I use it!

I did go with Wordpress, I put a few words on easily enough. I’ll have to read the “how to” properly tho before I attempt anything else

Word of warning, if you want to make it look a specific way and end up being tempted at buying themes and plugins looks at Squarespace again.
