I can't honestly see why anyone would vote for either of the big two.

If I think about the issues I and the people around me worry about I've never heard any of either of those parties put forward a serious plan to solve them such as - getting ill, social care when you get old, can peoples' kids find homes, jobs that aren't shit, public transport I can afford and use.

Booing or cheerleading for either of them isn't going to make you and your friends lives any better.

Lib Dems? - managed to shoot themselves in the foot during the Jo Swinson “era”, moved on to Ed Davey - who makes Starmer look decisive, whose highest profile MP needs to inform us that she is pansexual (who cares?), and who currently think it is a politically sensible move to position themselves alongside France in the great Jersey war.
Greens? - wonderful if you want to feel good about yourself. Unfortunately, the slightest scrutiny of some of the nutjob candidates they put up makes sane people run for cover.

Must admit to feeling a degree of sympathy for Starmer for the hand he's been dealt. I'd really like to vote Labour again but today reminds you of some of the absolute pondlife there is in the Labour party. First up was the Pidcock creature (I can't be friends with a Tory) on LBC. Her seat went Tory for the first time ever, it used to have 24,000 majorities for Labour. She lost it, yet somehow deludes herself that the reason people voted Tory in Hartlepool was because they wanted Corbynism back. Next up singing from the same hymn sheet was Dianne Abbott and no triumvirate of pigshit thick politicians would be complete without Richard Burgon popping up.

I agree that they don’t represent the working class anymore, but pretty sure the conservatives don’t either. We’re turning into America where a large majority of the country vote against their best interest because the party leader has funny hair

Listening to Labour Party politicians and councillors since the vote, demonstrates they aren't about to learn any lessons soon.

Still concentrating on attacking the Conservatives, rather than what they are going to do to win the voters over themselves. People don't want to keep hearing about who paid for the PMs wallpaper, most don't give a shit. Neither do they want to hear about what he might have said about dead bodies. They need a massive turnaround on strategy.

Another tip would be to get away from insinuating that people are as thick as shit to vote blue. At the moment there is no viable alternative.

What we once knew as the working class was decimated from the 1980s onwards. The guaranteed voting bloc for labour was fractured from that point. Tony blair briefly compensated for that by courting middle england, a traditionally non-labour voting demographic.

Today's voting trends have fallen on national identiity rather than class identity. So its ironic that labour are accused of playing with identity politics when the likes of the SNP and tories have done exactly the same.

Couple of problems though. Labour started the fightback under Blair with 50 seats in Scotland, they've gone. The new leader, Anas Sarwar cuts a really impressive figure, but I can't see a way back there. There's always been a far left faction, Tribune group in days gone by, who were always a noisy rump but without the numbers to really effect policy. They became the mainstream under Corbyn and they're not intending to be sidelined again anytime soon.
