I've got a pickup truck, happily, I also have an electric tyre pump. I'm a fan of direct action but this seems silly. The 'racist air pollution' argument is that pollution and climate change affect the poorest first and the majority of the poor in the World aren't white. Whilst I agree it does impact the poorest first the racist bit is a little far fetched. Western governments haven't taken action on climate change because they wanted to discriminate against different races they didn't take it because they never had the balls to explain their arguments to their voters and the fact zero-carbon economies will be more local reducing foreign trade.

Besides. acting like this at this time is purely counter productive. They are shooting themselves in the foot.

Effective direct action produces media that articulates your position. XR smashing banks' windows to highlight banks' investment is environmentally damaging projects for example. People may not like direct action but throughout the history of protest, it's proven to be the most effective.

However, here all that is going to happen is that people will pump up their tires and drive off. Also 'SUVs are evil' doesn't acknowledge that modern SUVs are basically taller hatchbacks.
