Why can't you put moderators on ignore?

Maybe its to with the need of the moderator to be able to mod you rather than be ignored.

I assume it's so that you can see important forum update posts e.g upgrades, rule announcements, regardless of which moderator has posted them.

Plus all the PM'ing stuff too.

Gheko has answered it, always been this way. Same as with PMs. When Del wasn't accepting PMs, we could still PM him.

But, also and genuine question. even without the ignore button, can't you just scan over the posts and not read them? Surely only takes a few seconds.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want him banned - there are very very few people on here who, over the years, have deserved bannings. I just want to go into interesting threads and not read bizarre, outdated views for fear of replying with incredulity and get a wannabe bully threatening me with this and that. Far better to be able to ignore them. But no, apparently not.

There seems to be a pattern on here, too:
- poster writes something abusive/offensive
- other posters (quite rightly) pipe up and call them out on it
- mod weighs in and defends original poster and threatens those who replied with warnings/bans etc
- original poster walks away, satisfied with a job well done

Repeat to fade etc

some certainly seem to get away with it

and are definitely protected

maybe they prompt the mods as to what to do

these slimey fucks get away with it
