I'm CERTAIN Archibald's daughter got her jobs solely on her own merits .....

His daughter, Emma Graham, is a journalist based in the United Arab Emirates, working as a news and programming producer for CNBC.

Probably because "Archibald" is old fashioned and "Archie" sounds naff. "Mike" is more modern, easier to spell, etc.
