Re: Energy market
That's a pain in the arse all round.
Might be cheaper to just start burning £50 notes to keep us warm this winter

I've just tried to check Avro details. They've shut everything down, so no checking of past payments/statements or energy use.VeritasVincit wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 7:52 amThat's who I was with.Sid Pervcat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 7:44 am We're with avro energy...also ceased trading.
Another supplier will be nominated with no disruption to service apparently.

I am giving some serious thought to buying a diesel generator for back up as I do not trust these ideological cnuts. Neighbours won't be happy for the noise but they'll get over it when they see the light.

I've been advised to take timed photos of meter readings.

Re: Energy market
Timed, as in date stamped? You can download an app for mobile to do that.

Re: Energy market
I've just had an e-mail from USwitch [becasue I converted within the last 18 months] ststing what is going on. They say note meter readings now. My phone camera stores the pictures with times.
Any credit said to be safe.

Re: Energy market
I’m with Utility Point.
Had an email this afternoon advising me that it would be helpful to enter a reading through their portal.
Needless to say, the website did not work.
Being bumped from a fixed rate to a Standard Variable Rate with EDF - rate to be advised. I’m guessing that it will be at least 50% higher than my current fix (even allowing for the price cap).

Can’t be arsed.
