Enough about provincial England on a Saturday night, what did you think of the Sumo wrestling?

Surprising tournament win by Ichinojō. Terunofuji lost against Takakeishō.
A third of rikishi were absent due to COVID, which ran rife through the tournament.

The difference in size between those two is horrendous, of course the bigger fucker was going to win.

Not always.

It depends on sumo style strength (over fat and injuries) and mental and physical wellbeing. Some larger wrestlers soon develop knee and back injuries. Tochi was almost a goner!

I know I shouldn't laugh but it's so funny that audience members put themselves at risk and show very little emotion AND the Sumo Association hasn't yet introduced health and safety procedures to protect audiences from injuries. It's 2022!

Tamawashi, 37, is the oldest winner of the top division sumo championship since the beginning of the Showa era (post 1989). Well done, Tamawashi! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Meanwhile, yokozuna Terunofuji lost many bouts and is now in hospital awaiting a knee operation. Tochinoshin also struggled. Ichinojo's performance was lacklustre. Takayasu almost won the championship and Tobizaru, who defeated Terunofuji on the second day, was awarded kinboshi and the outstanding performance prize.

Even Hiyonoyama would beat that fat. Yori-kiri.

Possibly.

I always remember that quote from a woman who described sex with Soames as like “a wardrobe falling on top of you with the key sticking out”.

Lambrini. In one of yesterdays Sunday Times magazines, there was a feature on Sumo training camps. It must have been 'Culture'. I was hoping to bring it home to scan for you. Somhow, sadly, I ended up with the socalled 'Style' mag with lots of shit clothes for lots of coin.

Try to search it online or if desperate to read at a library. I didn't read it, err just looked at the pictures of the boys err stretching and thought to bring it home. And failed.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.
