eSim

Post by black_guardian »

Travelling to the States and thinking of getting an eSim as my phone provider will charge £6 a day roaming charges.

Anyone had good experience with an eSim when holidaying abroad?

I've found the quality of travel sims random. Sometimes they work great other times they don't work at all. That if you're going anywhere large wifi is everywhere now. Not much help I know, if it's cheap give it a whirl.

Brexit like many things, killed roaming.

Only a few years ago and streaming free videos from the Grand Canyon. :(

Not travelled since pre-lockdown and hoping to.

I think 3 is similar to this, max a day roaming charges.

Suppose it depends on how much out of wifi world you are and how desperate you are to contact when there.

Never had to use a local sim even outside Europe, but things are different know. It's all queer.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Had to take roaming charges on the chin tbh; £6 a day from Vodafone(!) Trying to cane free wifi outside the hotel where I can but even that is a bit hit and miss.

By a sim over there if your phones unlocked, it'll be way cheaper
