No, subs, his tweet sums up British politics – on both sides, btw. The Tories are just as bad if not worse.

One question, will Diane Abbott have the Whip restored before the GE is called?
If not, will she stand as an Independent and would she win?
If the London Borough of Barnet isn't in London where is it?

Fair enough, Lambers.
I have to say, politics may have been more boring back in the day, but at least there was a degree of civility (to some extent) that is rarely seen now.

Couldn't find a Post Office Inquiry thread but as Horizon started under Labour I'll stick this here.

I've been watching the inquiry for a few weeks now, wish I hadn't started because now it's like a flipping sore, you know you shouldn't scratch it but cant stop.

Anyway, tomorrow is Paula Vennells day.
The Chairman, Sir Wyn Williams closed today's proceedings with the advice that the inquiry would resume tomorrow morning at 9.45 and said that 'tomorrow we have Paula Vennells', 'That's right, Sir' said the barrister for the inquiry.
Williams then made the observation, 'that should be fun'.

I genuinely laffed out loud, the old boy does have a sense of humour, and he's right, tomorrow WILL be fun.

Soz for my tardy reply. Yeah, I agree. MPs at loggerheads actually listened to each other and responded accordingly. Left wing media figures were happy to be interviewed by those on the right and vice versa. Cordiality and professionalism mattered. Halcyon days!

As predicted, no further police action, but, of course, there never would have been in the first place.
voter fraud has to be complained about within a year of the offence taking place so that is time expired, and as for evading tax, that isn't a police matter anyway, it's for HMRC to investigate, and HMRC don't make tax investigation public, tit's a confidential matter between the tax payer and HMRC.

Rayner knew all this before she made her statement about resigning if found wanting, her legal advice would have made that clear.
