It's not as if every voter who happens to be Muslim is definitely going to have gaza or any other aspect of these 18 " demands" at the forefront of their voting considerations. Many still did vote Labour recently.

They are no more a monolithic group than Jewish or Hindu or atheist voters. They'll have concerns over the economy, public services, social issues and are more likely to make a voting decision based on what party they feel looks to address said matters.

You'll always get random groups claiming to represent one community or another. They aren't a definitive representation.

Political causes or religious causes ?

Both. Although it doesn't make a difference, they are essentially the same thing. Much of the resistance to equal marriage was from groups with a religious background, same for anti abortion, I'm don't think calling for a ceasefire in Gaza matters if you do it from religious or secular background.

It’s a strange move. Especially after what’s she’s said in the past. As she not contesting at the next Election, it really is a kick in the balls for the current Prime Minister.

If this Elphicke person was so incensed by the government's record on immigration and its treatment of de pfeffel then why didn't she defect to Reform UK?

The good gammons of Dover will be outraged that she's surrendered their beloved white cliffs to the Hamas LGBT communists of Labour.

Poulter isn't standing again so his defection is pointless, Natalie Elphick had a 12,000 majority in 2019 so it can be assumed that Dover is a safe Conservative seat.
The question is, will she be standing again as a Labour candidate and what are her chances of winning.

Seems that she is one of those standing down anyway, so what's the point.

Remember when she claimed a footballer missed a goal because he was campaigning for free school meals?
