New mobile ph advice please

Post by TKMin_777 »

In spring I bought after much hype a Pixel 6, at £550 approx it was a big price to pay having used a Motorola G9 Power for a year which for the money was a fucking good phone just big as are I believe all Moto handsets.

Anyway 7 months in and I think the Pixel 6 is crap , I make a lot of calls , call quality is crap , same SIM as before, same network.

Settings constantly being tirned on off , not by me .

And in hot weather , fkin thing kept overheating and shutting down

Anyway I've had enough , looking at resale on ebay , prob get half of what I paid .

So, any tech people can recommend something ? Say up to 350 quid

Thanks

It is odd about pixels and heat, mine did same during the "heatwave". Can't imagine how they fare in properly hot countries. The usb port freaks out over a drop of water anywhere near it too.

Fair enough, I'm not an out an out fanboy but I grew up with the Apple OS. They usually work and work well despite their limitations.

I've had iphone , they're great but don't want to have a contract nor oay thru me bollocks just for a handset

But 400 quid is a tasty price for a 12 mini ( is mini like size of old iphone 8 ? )

Smaller than the 8, I bought the phone outright no contract.

Ex display or as good as new or never opened. Depends if you can live with "just" 64GB and all the other Apple foibles.
