From what I can see the people who say she should be allowed back only want her put on trial for any crimes she has committed.

Which surely is what should happen?

I'm not sure about the legislation now, but at one time anyone born in a country took on that nationality, as with Boris Johnson, who was born in America and lived there until his parents moved back to UK when he was 5, he has since renounced his American nationality entitlement since, apparently settling a hefty tax bill which the US can levy on American nationals living abroad.
