It's gonna take time
A whole lot of precious time
It's gonna take patience and time, mmm
To do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it
To do it right,
When your heart is blue, there is nothing you can do. Keep Right On

Staying in the EU and therefore the ITER would mean far less waiting, and no disruption to ongoing work. This is another example of the self inflicted wounds of brexit.

We're still out, Biden is still president and Khan is still mayor, but not for as long as we will be out of the EU.

Fusion? I remember them talking about a breakthrough when I did 'O' level physics 40 yrs ago, gonna be another 40+ years and then the UK will be paying through the nose for others who have the expertise to build it as per the UK's current nucleur strategy.

However £650m is peanuts in the grand scheme of things, governments never learn.

I'll take Great Britain then as a consolation prize.

"Consolation prize". That term alone damns brexit by faint praise.

You think Brexit is a major mistake so I thought you'd be delighted by this, as you've posted this

This shithole country... and this

An impoverished, insignificant archipelago on the North western corner of Europe.

Very odd.
