Contactless Payment Using Phone

Have been using Barclays app to pay on phone but it takes a while to set the phone up before payment. Tried Google Wallet yesterday which was much better, just turn phone on and you don't have to go into app.

What are you guys using?

Had 20 quid in my wallet for about 12 months now. Never go in there, and I've forgotten what the inside of a bank looks like.

Didn't even know you could use Barclays app to pay contactless but yep been using a digital wallet since before Covid, think there's a thread somewhere. Barclay's are closing the service aren't they, had a few hundred quid in my wallet for about four years just getting dusty. Rarely if ever take it out with me.

Yeah, Barclays closing contactless payments via their app on 30th June. That's what triggered me really to look for a better one. Used Google yesterday at the supermarket much better.

No limit either (or shouldn't be) 'cept what's in your debit account or credit card limit.

I use Google Wallet as well, can't remember the last time I carried cash.

I can't get the Mrs to make the switch, no convincing even though it's far safer than even carrying cash. Likes carrying around lots of shit in a bag and like linus and his blanket, it's a comfort thing.

Use wallet on the iPhone. Just double click the side of the phone and there it is.

Think the only regular thing I use cash for is getting the car washed once a month.
