Most of the time you see teams get a points reduction, it’s normally an amount that is really challenging. So how shit must Wigan be if getting four points is going to be a big challenge?

It takes a lot of contrition to front up to the fans and write a letter apologising for one’s mistakes and say what steps are being taken to engage more closely with the community. Not sure that the likes of Kroenke or the Glazers have apologised to their clubs’ fans over the years.

Still, let’s make the current owner the scapegoat for being a small club that is unsustainable even for the second tier and call him a “rag head”.
