A nice start to the day

Post by VeritasVincit »

I find it's a nice start to the day when, walking the dog through very long grass and veg, two deer don't see you until they are only a few yards away. Then they are off. Yesterday it was a fox across the path a few yards head.
My dog, as usual, never saw a thing.

Phew, thought the title was going to be ironic. Get a hound, roller boots and hold on I say.

They culled a lot of the deer around here a few years ago but now the numbers are right up again.
Also saw my first buzzard in a few years last week.

To be honest I've had a bit go a nightmare, I've not eaten since Tuesday and have been sick 6 -8 times a day. Yesterday evening I had some soup and this morning I've been feeling better and I'll try a baked potato in a bit. Pre-cancer I could swim all day now I have to sit in the shower - life's weird.

Still, I don't have it as bad as loads of people and I'll bounce back by the weekend were I've been promised a nice steak,

Sounds pretty bad to me, forgive the platitudes and we know you do but stay positive and chin up.

My car passed its MoT today, and I've just seen one of the local chavs actually returning a trolley to the ALDI just up the road.

Our downstairs hallway was flooded - never seen rain like it.
Next door not so lucky, they had 1ft of water flooding their entire downstairs.
