My wife had a heart attack today

Post by Rowntree »

I don't really know what else to say.

I'm in shock. She's alive and lucid.

Fuck. What a day.

Oh crikey, that's really tough on you both, rowners. She's quite young from what you have said so her diagnosis will hopefully be good.

Hope she's stable and is getting good treatment. Look after yourself.

Jesus, Rowners, that must have been terrifying.
Give her our best wishes and I hope she is on the mend soon.
Take care, pal.

We obviously hope for you both she's had a very minor one and recovers quickly.

A friend of mine walked into A&E as he wasn't feeling too great and out of breath, three hours later he was told he'd had a heart attack and was walking out of hospital with a couple of stents and told to make a few lifestyle changes.

Hope she gets better soon, Rowntree.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

She's OK. It was, as they have termed it, a 'minor' one. She's more shaken up psychologically than anything. She's only 36 and in decent shape.

She wanted to go back to work today! I've bolted the door and swallowed the key.

I realise after the scare it's very difficult not to treat her with kid gloves but do let her try to get back to some sort of normality asap, she'll heal in every sense far more quickly. I don't know abut Russia but survival rates and life expectancy are usually still excellent especially for somebody relatively young, good luck.

Very good point. Same with a 50 something at work who had a heart attack and having had a stent put in, he was back at work a couple of weeks later. And he has an eight hour round journey every week.

Good man, from my own experience, it's hard to see you need rest you want to prove you're a-okay. Rest, relaxation and letting people care for and love you are important.
