Sky have just contacted me they said they will give me the same package that I had for £28 if I sign up for 18 months.

Yup and it’s easy to upsell and apply more ad ons not to mention inflationary rises. Easy to make the customer think they’ve got a good deal yet get bitten on the arse later.
