Lineker doing what he does best, and that is making a twat of himself.

VAR, along with Premier League match officials have had an absolute mare of a season. It has shown that referees, assistants, and VAR officials have not been up to the job. The whole process needs reviewing and changing. VAR has been used to excess imo, and I think we should scrap it completely, and just stick with goal line technology.
Anyway back to Lineker. He's totally wrong on both situations. There was a clear and forceful push by Burn leading up to the goal which was correctly disallowed in the Fulham v Newcastle match, and a Wolves player, in an offside position, was doing enough to get in the way and to put the West Ham keeper off. In other words he was interfering with play.
Slag VAR off by all means, but not when it has correctly highlighted infringements.

Looked a pen in real time, the reality was that Elliott dived without any contact and fell on Wan Bissaka. Stupid of him to go to ground, but not a pen.

Not whinging about the result as the simps didn't deserve any more but Sheffield United's Jack Robinson should've been off for the leg breaker against Palmer. Excessive force, straight through him, studs up and contact on lower shin... the decision should've been easy.
Back to the Championship, thankfully.

If you have to slow the footage down to 1/20 speed it isn't clear and obvious plus they rarely overturn a penalty area decision even if it was.Holden Mcgroyne wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2024 8:23 pm Looked a pen in real time, the reality was that Elliott dived without any contact and fell on Wan Bissaka. VAR do that every week though, if it takes 1/20 speed to show it's a dive, then it should be usedantdad wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 8:46 amIf you have to slow the footage down to 1/20 speed it isn't clear and obvious plus they rarely overturn a penalty area decision even if it was.Holden Mcgroyne wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2024 8:23 pm Looked a pen in real time, the reality was that Elliott dived without any contact and fell on Wan Bissaka. Cap doffed to Harvey, genius bit of cheating though
On another matter, Ben White should be starting a 3 game ban for his antics on saturday

Agree with everything said. If we can see it why can't these morons.
The only way to stop this sort of behaviour, is to dock points. It would stop overnight.
The PGMOL, the FA and the Premier League, are packed to the rafters with gutless incompetent arseholes.

Re: The Premier League - Season 2023/24
Everton docked another 2 points.....
The PL is a fucking joke, first 10 points, then give the scouse cunts 4 back, then take another 2 off the cheating cunts.
What about all the other cheating clubs I hear you say....
The PL should deduct the fucking lot of them 30 points and have done with it.

Neither VAR, nor more importantly, Fernandes or Wan-Bissaka argued.antdad wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 8:46 amIf you have to slow the footage down to 1/20 speed it isn't clear and obvious plus they rarely overturn a penalty area decision even if it was.Holden Mcgroyne wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2024 8:23 pm Looked a pen in real time, the reality was that Elliott dived without any contact and fell on Wan Bissaka. They're just worn down with decisions going against them, 3 soft pens in 3 days would sap anyone's moraleSunbeam Alpine wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 4:49 pmNeither VAR, nor more importantly, Fernandes or Wan-Bissaka argued.antdad wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 8:46 amIf you have to slow the footage down to 1/20 speed it isn't clear and obvious plus they rarely overturn a penalty area decision even if it was.Holden Mcgroyne wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2024 8:23 pm Looked a pen in real time, the reality was that Elliott dived without any contact and fell on Wan Bissaka. They had obviously got the message that dissent is pointless, and didn't want a yellow card.Sunbeam Alpine wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 4:49 pmNeither VAR, nor more importantly, Fernandes or Wan-Bissaka argued.antdad wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 8:46 amIf you have to slow the footage down to 1/20 speed it isn't clear and obvious plus they rarely overturn a penalty area decision even if it was.Holden Mcgroyne wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2024 8:23 pm Looked a pen in real time, the reality was that Elliott dived without any contact and fell on Wan Bissaka. Elliott tripped himself over Wan's leg, and could have avoided contact. It was a good one I'll give you that, but VAR should have picked it up

Re: The Premier League - Season 2023/24
What I noticed yesterday was that the yellow card for waving your hands up in the air at a decision seems to have died a death. I remember first day of the season Taylor was whipping his card out at every opportunity. Yesterday numerous players reacted and nothing happened.Zambo wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 5:30 pmThey had obviously got the message that dissent is pointless, and didn't want a yellow card.Sunbeam Alpine wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 4:49 pmNeither VAR, nor more importantly, Fernandes or Wan-Bissaka argued.antdad wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 8:46 amIf you have to slow the footage down to 1/20 speed it isn't clear and obvious plus they rarely overturn a penalty area decision even if it was.Holden Mcgroyne wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2024 8:23 pm Looked a pen in real time, the reality was that Elliott dived without any contact and fell on Wan Bissaka.
