The little tike seems to have matured, just a little. When he first came on the scene he was so full of himself, knowing that, in some part, it depended on him whether the game was won or lost. His whole attitude screemed of, look who I am aint I the greatest, until, of course, he came up against some greater than him.

Born in Manilla, so qualifies to play for England. :)

Wow, you know all that about him? You must have some decent insider knowledge.
His dad is British, by the way, and he moved here more than a decade ago.

Tbf Sub I think Quins is Birdies club so she might know a bit more about him than you or I. I took the last comment in the spirit in which it was meant which was a bit of a joke considering the earlier content of the thread.

As talented as he is I think he's always going to be targeted at international level because his lack of stature will always count against him.

Sorry old bean, I cant stand Quins, toffee nosed bastards they used to be, I had a lifelong debenture at the London Welsh and then joined Saracens, did the gate for several years, still have contacts in the club who inform me of all manner of gossip. :P

Fair enough, birdie. I like Smith, I like his spirit, and he brings a bit of flair to the team, unlike some of the plodders we've picked in recent years.

Found the Share Certificates a few weeks ago, not worth anything, but worth keeping for the sentimental value :P :P

For info, all Members were given a number of Share Certificates in the Club when it went professional, some sort of legalese apparently.
The sprog was on the website a few days ago looking for a Sarries shirt, came down and asked if I wanted one of the Vintage ones they have, 'the black on with the white collar', Nah, says I, I've got the original bought 30 odd years ago, it was then that she said, the one in the airing cupboard you mean. :P :P
The buggers want 60, the original was less than a fiver :P

Anyway, off topic, but I'm more pissed off tonight than Sarries were losing to Exeter chiefs, the bloody gas boiler developed a fault, the engineer left a couple of hours ago, it's banjacked so no heating or hot water, they're ringing tomorrow morning to talk about a new one, so no new shirts for me for a while, Sarries or not. :P

Looks like I'll have to eat that. England performing the kick and grind to perfection, weather and NZ ref favouring.

That put the cherry on a wonderful week, the heating packed up last Sunday, cant get a new boiler till the 31st, so not just no heating no hot water either,
the grill on the top oven packed up on Monday, the door of the wardrobe fell off two days ago, I didn't know the thing doesn't have hinges just a dowel top and bottom, it's solid Edwardian with a mirror front so too sodding heavy for me to lift, and this morning the toaster decided to give up too (changed the fuse but no good),.
And to top it all off Sarries bloody lost
I suppose tomorrow will be better, but mebbe not.

Anyway, one team or 'tother had to win and it's all balls anyway, isn't it?

PS Mods, delete as necessary
