Its getting very dark, dreich, miserable and grey in the UK. Winters are long, drawn out and miserable - remember how dark and grey December is about 5-6 hrs of sunlight sometimes and if that, if the sun can peer out.

You'll at least hopefully get some snow in the motherland which will brighten the place up.

Christmas isn't the same as it was ; we're all addicted to our phones and social media.

Just remember how ugly and unhealthy most people across these islands look and compare them to Russians.

Then again, March time it starts to get nice. So fire on these next few months ; work away, save some cash, pump some iron and then come back in April swell, handsome, and ready for some spring sunshine and visits to some of the most beautiful towns good old Blighty has to offer.

Sit tight and get your arse home to live it up in six months. Slumber on through this winter and come visit 12 weeks in to 2024 when the days get longer and the nights are lighter. Your football team might even win the Euros as well ; loads to look forward to but fist let's sleep through the winter.
