People talk about how it has to be a specific fish shop*, it has to be cooked in such a fashion or simply must be smothered in any number of condiments.

But the truth is it’s essentially a sewer fish, sizzled in crispy crap and spud slices which have been turbo fried in manky oil. You shovel this cack into your gob, washed down with an apparently essential can of some frigging Brexit-flavoured fizzy beverage, then afterwards feel like you’re pregnant with a lard baby and despise yourself.

Wrap it up in yesterday’s copy of the Daily Tits and slam dunk it into the bin.


*it’s fish shops in my part of the world, not chippies, because this is Yorkshire so we arbitrarily have to do things fucking differently. And they all claim to have been awarded the prize of best fish and chips in Yorkshire one year. There’s only a finite number of times the prize can have been given so somebody is lying.
