Dolomite Sprint was a fun car.
I loved it in yellow and my friend doug sold his on bat earlier this year. Lovely engine. Made locally to you back in the day, too.

A pal at a gym circa 97 had one whilst i had my fjord blue 2002 tii, his was yellow black vinyl roof, and we would always park together

i never understood how triumph could make the dolomite and the toledo at the same time, looking the same yet totally different

lots of poltics back then resulting in the death of the stag and tr7/8 plus the advent of the acclaim and death of triumph

missing so much....

sadly, dress like man from asda....rob peter to pay paul....when i turn my toes up there will be some struggles trying to locate my crap

I have a reading room dedicated to books and mags....sadly no grot (partial to a fiesta or escort for realism, mayfair for dreams)

Cash poor but still delusional and maybe europe bound for a car or two this month or january....that would involve bremerhaven to halifax ns, then train or road trip across canada....would be good to dip south into usa to beat the weather then come up i5 but not sure on tanks regarding vehicles that have not officially been registered

as the recession turns to depression there will be some decent stuff up for grabs but no good for me sadly

hankering after 70's and 80's french

it's futile as the dream gets further and further away as in unobtainable

gather all these cars, work on them so they are good.....for someone else....but never quite satisfied, wandering eye for the next and as such, no true love, nothing at the heart strings

closest to really missing is 2002 tii, 205 la coste (same 1360 used by the ax gt), 912 targa (lovely balance) and o4 ram 1 ton and non of the afore mentioned up to much in the grand scheme of things

more intertesed these days in the design philisophy, the story behind the car, it's role in period than outright speed, looks or value....quite liking base model cars, wind up winows etc

The Passats were great . I got the second one partly because I was so impressed with the dealer.

First car was a 1955 Morris Minor which I bought for a fiver. Sold it to a mate for 18 quid and the next day the front axle collapsed. :D

Others included Anglia, Datsun Cherry, Mk1 Cortina, Escort, Sierra, Focus, Corsa, Puegeot 206, 207, 208, 308, Audi 1, 3.

I remember my wife had a Peugeot 104, which was riddled with rust.
I thought we'd never sell it but one night a guy came to see it in the dark and heavy rain.
He drove it and then said he'd buy it. And as he drove away a lump of bodywork fell off.
He didn't seem to know and I waited a week or so to see if he would come back before I binned it.
I used to love Peugeots, like the old 504, and up to the renowned 205, but for a long time after that their quality was dreadful.
