Good game this between Angola and Namibia now we’re in the last sixteen. It opened up between the knockout stages.

Pens between the holders and the hosts. And hosts Côte d'Ivoire beat Senegal to go into the quarters.

Drama in the first semi between Nigeria and South Africa. Last minute and Nigeria think they've scored to make it 2-0. VAR calls the Ref to look at the screen. He disallows the goal and awards SA a penalty for an earlier offence which they score. SA then miss a sitter to win in injury time.

So extra time and mon penalties.

Also third place play off tonight if desperate.

Final tomorrow hopefully half decent between Nigeria and hosts Ivory Coast/Côte d'Ivoire at 8pm on BBC3 and Sky. A nice precursor to the Super Bowl.

Unfortunately Cameroon utterly shit out, meaning the scissor handed cretin Andre Oh-No-No was back twixt the OT stix double kwix.

The one benefit of this biennial pisspot of a tournament and even that was snatched away from me.

Despite having the majority of possession and chances, Ivory Coast are 1-0 down at half time.

Guess the Nigerian Prince's money transfer didn't go through...

Isn't "ivory coast" akin to "Washington redskins"?

As they were hosts, no wonder the Nigerian prince got no cash.

Bad people from Côte d’Ivoire were involved in the trade.
