Today I have reached 80 !

I am not happy about it and will certainly not be celebrating. I should really be reflecting on the failures and mistakes of the past.
But it’s all too fucking late now to worry about what I did or didn’t do, what I said or didn’t say, and where I didn’t go when I had the chance.

So I will now retire, as if I haven’t already, to the life of a total grump; a first class curmudgeon who will accept no criticism but will criticise all, especially the young. Spending my time listening to ‘Dirty Old Town’ - which it was when I was young and in it.

But will provide one piece of advice to others: Try to hang on till eighty, it is worth it because your pension goes up by 25. That’s 25p a week!
