It doesn't look great, does it?
That little nerd Miliband becoming environment secretary is a scary thought. A serial loser who would have left parliament after 2015 had he any dignity.

Alas, the bar is set so low from the Tories anyway.

The political landscape in this country is in serious trouble. There's no stability, leadership and cohesiveness. I don't think a Labour government could pull everything together. Socialism isn’t the answer; it never has been and never will be.

You mean providing free healthcare and education, and putting a safety net in place so that everyone in society has their basic needs looked after isn't the answer? :?
I think your definition of socialism differs from mine.

Ahh! Education and the National Health Service. Of course! Er, no. Blair and Brown's Labour — the "new" Labour – literally ruined the country. That wonderful socialist paradise. What was the note? 'Good luck, ladies and gents! There's no money left – terribly sorry about that. With best wishes' something like that. Horrid. Labour's forthcoming tenure will be no different.

"ruined" the country
Dear me.
As to who will win the next election, that's up to the UK public, so we'll see which party they have most faith in.

You really believe that a Labour Government would mean that everyone would have their basic needs looked after?

No they didn't.
1997-2007 was the best continuous run our economy has had since the war.
Bailing out the banks was not their plan. It was the result of casino behaviour encouraged by the deregulation of Thatcher's time.
The "There's no money left" was meant to be a joke, as Byrne has explained several times.
I wonder what Hunt and co will say when they hand over an economy in real terms three times worse off than in 2010.
It's a myth that Labour can't manage the economy.

FIVE PM's and SEVEN chancellor's later...including a shitshow of a REFERENDUM/BREXIT caused by self imposed austerity (yeeeessss), a disastrously managed pandemic with it's cash for mates and lock down parties. A completely self inflicted financial crisis along the way from mad Lizz & Kwazi that increased the cost of borrowing for everybody and yet and yet but Labour.

Check back in around 12 months time, and we'll have a chat about it.

Labour will fuck up at any level, the poor old people under Birmingham Council will verify.

Check it out. Growth, real income, unemployment...Labour has done better on every economic aspect. Invested more in the NHS too.

The post 2010 "austerity" was a choice. Inflicted for ideological reasons, but had the effect of further dragging down economic activity.

How the Tories cling to their reputation for being sound on the economy is a mystery.

Anyone who has had to renew a fixed-rate mortgage deal in the last six months is paying on average £300 a month more due to the shambolic efforts of Truss and Kwarteng.

Yeah , because the Blair/Brown massive expansion of the PFI scheme in the NHS has been such a roaring success , hasn't it ? NHS trusts will pay £2.1bn on PFI repayments this year alone .

And not to forget about 'Prudence' Browns balls up by underselling over half of Britain's gold reserves .

Your claim about Labour having a better record on umemployment is also misleading . When Labour won the 1997 election the unemployment rate for adults was 7.2%. When it left government in 2010, it was 7.9%. Today , it is 3.9% .

This Government has without doubt been a disaster........but at least it ain't Labour
