St George has put a curse on the team.

Highbury, Emirates and The Bridge, support is there but generally silent.
Add about 90% of Premier League stadiums. After the initial excitement around kick-off, all these stadiums turn silent.

It’s a victim of what the FA wanted.

Plastic fans, tourists, price the average fan out and make it a corporate experience.

Add that to coma inducing football and they have achieved what they wanted.

Pretty much it.

I was once told by a steward to sit down during a Champions League semi final second leg at Old Trafford.

Told him to fuck off and went to watch the last 10 minutes in Sam Platts instead.

These grounds are populated with camera phone waving fuckcunt tourists, or late middle-age to elderly fatsos sat with their arms crossed trying not to have a nap.

Agree with that. Unless it’s a very local derby or an important game then there is zero atmosphere. It’s only away fans that make any noise. Football has become sanitised and only going to get worse.
Wembley isn’t that great a stadium either. It lives off its name. I was at the Tottenham Stadium last Saturday and it’s light years ahead of it.

FA committed to have a certain number of England internationals there as part of the deal to build the new stadium.

How long ago was that? There’s still too many games being played there.

The last few days of football have conclusively proved that international friendlies are a complete waste of everyone’s time.
