And remember even the best have their headstaggers. Writing for a kids show is no crime.

The thing is with this new series of doctor who, it was the only alternative to the reality dancing/skating/karaoke shite that they were churning out on Saturday.
Off course now it's been shifted to Sunday so dancing on shite can have another fucking hour on the telly, and will be another excuse if this show flops.

To be honest, like all small boys at the time as a kid I used to like it in the Pertwee era. But then I reached 9 or 10 and grew out of it.
The new incarnation is just embarrassing.
What next, Chorlton and the Wheelies reimagined for adults? Cloppa Castle - After Dark?

It doesn't matter whether Doctor Who is a man or a woman, but problems arise when motivations become ideological and / or political. It is evident that Mx Whittaker was chosen solely on the basis of her gender rather than individual merit, hailed as a "feminist icon" and pathetically fawned over by the Beeb and social justice warriors. Like many other franchises such as Marvel, Star Wars and Star Trek, Doctor Who has been this way for some time. In last year's Christmas episode the Beeb purposely portrayed the first doctor as a sexist imbecile, which is factually untrue and a damnation to William Hartnell.
"It needs to be said that [Doctor Who] is still an OVERWHELMINGLY white show and that issues of representation do not exist in isolation from each other (...) It’s not as if you fix the ‘woman’ problem, THEN fix the ‘race’ problem, THEN the ‘queer/trans’ problem, etc. It all has to happen in tandem."
How can everything 'happen in tandem'? Her argument is invalid because the fractionation of diversity and equality of Doctor Who is infinite, and as Jordan Peterson points out, will never be enough!

Tom Baker- who wasn't the original DW- is a good mate of Laurie Taylor, the excellent presenter of Thinking Allowed.
They were out on the lash in Liverpool and went in a pub where Baker was identified straight off, but in a good way. He ordered drinks all around on him, prompted by his appearance on a TV ad on the TV in the pub, and it reminded him of how generously he was being paid.
The barman complied but refused to serve Baker himself, on the grounds that he felt sorry for the Cybermen.

That would be Anita sarkeesian who has been a doctor who can for years and who totally didn't jump on a twitter bandwagon then?
Just like she's a long time gamer...
