Johnny Evans is a fucking star. Must be about 42 now but a slick colossus in the heart of the defence.

Depay again. 3-1. Very harsh result.

Shame for Norn Iron, horrible to lose late on having put a hell of a shift in. How the manager gets these players to do it is remarkable.
As for the Scots, they seem to be getting worse. Clarke hasn't had much of a positive impact.

Removed it as thought Norn had done well. Oh well, still stands.
Offering Murray and Nolan BJs for life. He'll regret it in the morning.

Re: UEFA Euro Qualifiers 2020
I ended up watching The King Billy Derby after that second Russian goal went in.
Scotland are soft as shit, give away too many easy goals at this level, laughably bad options for a striker, and a defence that cannot defend. Saying that, even though the stats said otherwise, Scotland did well for the first 60 minutes.
Not a fucking thing we are good at, but then again, maybe that's karma cos real countries don't vote against their own Independence. I'd have wound the lot up in 2014 after that referendum.
Playoffs will be a hard sell. Not a chance we'll get by some of these over two games (even if one game is at Hampden ) : Norway, Serbia, Finland, Bulgaria. An absolute disaster of a campaign. We are basically what Wales were 20 years ago, absolute mongrels. There is a squad there (Fraser, Christie, McGinn, McTominay, Forrest and so on) but when you cannot defend and cannot score, then what chance are you ever going to have! Maybe I'll change my tune, but it's not looking good, and it's probably for the best we don't qualify for the Euros - as we'll just embarrass ourselves on an even bigger stage.
Hard lines for NI. Watched it and really thought they were on for a historic win. Still, the way things are going they should get a A or B playoff spot. They are a dogged, hard disciplined side who give their all. They could very well go to Germany and/or beat Holland in Belfast.
Wales will probably end up not qualifying. Too many draws and losses, and have some tough games coming up - Croatia, Azerbaijan (a) and Hungary. Still of course in their hands, but I have a feeling they'll end up with 2pts out of 9.

Russia v Scotland highlights are on BBC Scotland at 11pm. If, as the announcer said, "you can bear to watch".

I remember the old Welsh TV newsreader Roy Noble on TV describing a heavy Welsh defeat by Finland way back in the late 80s or early 90s.
"It's hard to find words to describe Wale's performance against Finland. But 'crap' will do for now."
