Was going to mention it in my post on the previous page, but didn't bother.
Are you going to watch Mighty Reds play the errr…Mighty Reds brother CC?
I remember in the last round Watford v Southampton was at 2pm on a Sunday and not televised. No idea why.JimmyDee wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2024 1:07 pm All hands man your battle-stations, rant incoming!
Can anyone tell me why Maidstone are playing at 7.45 on a Monday night? Well, apart from the broadcasters telling the FA, that is.
Arguably the most important match in Maidstone's history but they hold it on a working day, followed by another working day. If it's good enough for us then it's good enough for the big-shots. Let's hold the FA Cup Final on a Monday night, see how they like that.
It's all for the telly, isn't it? To be fair, there's 4800 fans going ... but one crash on the motorway and they won't get home until about 3am.
I never want to hear any broadcasters talking about the Magic of the Cup, the little teams, it's all about the fans, they're the lifeblood of football.
Why, I ask, couldn't it have been on a Saturday afternoon, or a Sunday afternoon? What's so terrible about that?
