former manager of Spain and Real Madrid…
And a Premier League manager this time last year.
He kept Wolves up when in a bit of a tricky situation.

He's a pundit on BBC1 now. An inspirational speaker.

He can't be as bad as he was in his last job. Surely, lessons will have been learned.

Then again he's as thick as shite, so maybe..

Bearing in mind they only just stayed up, the starting position is much lower and expectations a little different. He certainly talks a good game on the telly, hope he does well there.

Any manager who arrives at a club, and attempts to dramatically change the playing style and tactics of the team, without assessing the playing staff's capabilities to play that style, casts serious doubts about that manager's own capabilities imo.

He talks about it early on in the interview here.

From what he seems to be saying, the whole thing was a non-starter from the get go.

The owners naively announced that Eustace was sacked because of the misalignment of the way they wanted to employ tactics, and instead of waiting for him to fail, for his benefit, he should be relieved of his duties immediately. That was a disgrace in itself.

They furthermore said that those tactics will be based on a new brave approach and a possession linked strategy, including building from the back. From what has been said, including input fro the players, Rooney, tried to implement that from day one on the training ground and from the first match. I think any manager who wins two games out of fifteen is going to look for reasons why he failed. It was one if the stupidest appointments I can remember in football and BCFC paid the ultimate price, and they deserved to.

Meant to say, with those shocking accents, I didn't get much of the clip. 😄

Credit to Chelsea, just when you think they’ve done enough weird stuff for one season, they keep delivering.
