Hi ,
So av ended up with a few pounds burning a hole in my pocket
I’ve not had a tv in my bedroom since I was a child so I’m going to invest In one , got a loaded up firestick so gonna make the most of it
So I’m thinking do I go full hog and get a 75 inch wall filler or is that just fucking stupid for a bedroom , I really don’t know ? Woj’s something that size be detrimental for bedroom use or is something like 42 inch / 50 inch more suitable , I have 50 inch in ma living room
Finally if it’s a big one anyone have any recommendations for a budget / midrange or a good high end smaller television ?
Thank you

Re: New tv advice
Most of the midrange TVs are made in the same factory in Turkey by a company called Vestel, they just have different casings and are rebadged - so you might as well get a supermarket own brand one because it's highly likely to be the same TV inside. I bought the Tesco own brand one donkeys years ago, then upgraded to a 4K and took it back because the picture wasn't as good. I'm still using it, its got to be at least 10 years old now.

In terms of size, I forget the formula but Google it and it tells you the ideal screen size depending on size of room, how far away you sit etc

If picture quality is important to you get an OLED (rather than QLED) as the prices have dropped considerably...great blacks, viewing angles, contrast and colour saturation and best for watchin motion especially sport, action or gaming. I bought a new lounge TV from Richer Sounds about 2/3 months ago which was a 55' LG OLED Evo which I can recommend, LG make OLED panels for everybody else I think.
Sound is usually crap on flat panels so if you have't got surround sound budget for a soundbar, I was a bit sniffy about them but I bought a Bose soundbar and it's taken over, it also makes for the most powerful bluetooth speaker so you can link your phone to it or anything else. These TV's are now very smart so you should be able to sideload your Amazon stick pirating apps directly onto the TV OS.

Agree with that. Richer Sounds are good and you get a 7 year warranty, if you keep it that long of course.subsub wrote: Sun Feb 09, 2025 10:33 amRicher Sounds always have some good deals.GeorgeFalkirk1504 wrote: Sat Jan 25, 2025 6:13 am Hi ,
