What are the benefits of not having a belt on while you're sat down?

And don't say "comfort" because if you've put it on properly and you're not a massive fat blob then you can't even notice it's on.

Unless you have the belt on fairly tightly, you are still likely to hit the roof with severe CAT, so comfort is a factor. I'm told that in premium class, the legroom is almost non existent, so not being able to move at all if you have a belt on must be a chore.

I always keep my seatbelt on unless I need to use the bathroom or want to go to stretch my kegs on a trans Atlantic flight.

Beats me why anyone would sit in a plane without having their seatbelt fastened, irrespective of the sign.

Well call me Mr. Wants To Be Prepared For An Unannounced Jolt To The Plane but to ol’ Pet it seems perfectly sensible to keep the bally thing clunked and clicked when sat in t’ seat, no matter about red lights, green lights or polka dotted lights.

It’s time to petition the airlines!

I’m just about to get on a ferry at horseshoe bay... no seatbelts

What, no rubber ring and flippers in case a hurricane hits. Taking a bit of a risk aren't you.

One of those days

Just about to dock in Nanaimo

Lovely warm crossing

Some of the birds are utterly spectacular

Should be tucked up in bed in an hour

Same here, on any flight, though can usually hold a piss on short haul.
