A really sad story, and they won’t be the last that go under.

The game died when sky came in, the rich get richer and the rest either stagnate or go shit and bust to compete.

Football is no longer a working mans game, and now that’s the case clubs like bury & Cambridge will always be ‘surviving’ at best.

If they go, I hope they have a speedy return. Went away there a few years ago, beer bus with stops on the way, never made it into the ground, stayed in one of the local boozers. Great day, they probably beat us, and I saved £15 on the entrance fee

That seems to be the general opinion in the area.
One player, who hadn't been paid for months, had an argument with him on the local radio. I didn't hear it but the reports said that Day was dismissive, and wouldn't even accept that the players needed the money.

That wasn't Day, that was Dale, the current chairman who has basically asset stripped what was left of the club after the previous regime.

That radio row wasn't on local radio, it was live on JWOTS.

Ruined by JWOTS as he wouldn’t let anyone answer a fucking question without screeching “Steve, Steve, Steve let me clarify...I put it to you” etc etc etc.

I'm really living up to my new 'Niver saw it' persona.

Neville Neville was the man that started this sorry mess by introducing the free spending previous owner Stewart Day to the club!

I think that when this is all done that they'll be a criminal investigation into the goings on at Gigg Lane over the last 6 years, still at least the fans got to see two promotions out of it all.
