What a fantastic Davis Cup match this afternoon. Deep in 5th set and could still go either way. Great tennis from both players.

Wimbledon announce yesterday that Fifth Set tie-breaks will begin if the final set reaches 12-12. Common sense finally.
That will put paid to the nonsense that John Isner has subjected us to over the years.
Poor Kevin Anderson's marathon contributed to a poor final , even though I doubted he would have won anyway.

Any thoughts on Heather Watson selling sanitary towels on television?

Kyle Edmund makes it to 15 in the world and also wins his first ATP title. Good going from the guy Del wrote off a couple of years ago as having no chance of getting anywhere in top level tennis.

Not a shock, but Andy Murray has announced his retirement. Going to try to play until Wimbledon, but could be earlier depending on the hip pain.

Not a shock either that he cried. Fuck sake. Look, I'm all about men expressing their feelings etc. 'Talking-it-through'. Blah blah. But this lad is a classic man-child. His poor wife.I blame his Mum for coddling him. Geeezus. All he has ever done in his life is knock a little furry green rubber ball with a bat. Let's hope he has some other hobbies because fuck me, he surely cannot get on the payroll as a BBC tennis pundit. Middle-class Tim is bad enough, I don't think I can take the Murray drone in my earholes for 5 sets. All the best Andy, you did well. Now FUCK OFF.

Attempting to belittle sportspeople by reducing the sports to inane descriptions is always the sign of a wrong'un

If he’d kept the rallies shorter he would have put so much pressure on his body. He let other players dictate rallies and push him all over the court
