It's always been gay-friendly, but yes, not everyone who enjoys it is a homosexualist.
ALWAYS? Up to a point, Lord Copper. Only in the sense that it was once for all of us.
It was once just a song-contest, about the songs, and thus was gay-friendly, but also everyone else-friendly.
Now, though (at the risk of repeating myself), it's become a "gay-only" thing, mainly due to the commentators on the BBC gaying-it-up.
A classic example of how "inclusivity" becomes "exclusivity" within a very short time.

In other news: I see Greta Thunberg and the rest of the Greens no longer care about the environment. Fuck that; that was last year! They care about this month's headlines, all about Gaza, or some fucking thing.
Aren't the Israelis good, growing their oranges, and aren't the Arabs bad, drilling all that oil? Apparently not any more, this week.

There are 26 countries all with broadcasters.
How on earth would the BBC be able to do that?
More generally, the music in Eurovision, year after year, is wall to wall rubbish

The music isnโt rubbish, it's typically Euro pop. Big difference. Listen to contemporary pop music in any European country and it generally sounds like the stuff heard on Eurovision.
These guys, for example.
