Hoo-bleeding-ray. They've finally blown the sodding thing up. Massive explosion apparently heard for miles. Yeah right, a puff of black smoke and a load of sand scattered across the road. I've had vans blow more smoke out than that. Fucking pathetic but at least the main objective was accomplished ie to turn the roads into chaos while spouting health and safety bollocks.

I'm not saying Wigan is a gem, but look carefully at your photos. I would estimate them at 20 years ago, pretty much when the area was still recovering from the close of coal mining.
