Yep - this will have to be sorted out, otherwise you're going to get punch-ups every 5 minutes.
A defender cannot wrap his arms around an attacker just as the ball is being played in – that is ridiculous.

Am also amazed how all the play-acting is being ignored by the officials, too.
Even Henderson went over the top, holding his forehead when the guy struck his chin etc
Just makes a mockery of the game.

The Colombians got so bad at it, that after every single foul you had players staying down, rolling around etc then if their team go on the attack, they immediately get up and start legging it after the ball. Worse still, you get players giving it the card-waving stuff 0.00001 seconds after being fouled.

At one point, Ashley Young went in for a 50-50 and wisely went down, too, knowing that the Colombian would pretend to have been shot - by doing so, the ref didn't know who to blame, rather than booking the less-hurt player.

Bit early for that.
There are still some great teams left in (mainly France and Brazil).
Sweden are tough are hard to break down - England's QF won't be easy.
Croatia are a class act, too, although they've blown a bit hot and cold so far.

Yep. Sweden is probably a 50/50 game.
Croatia a 45/55 against.
Brazil/France 40/60 against.

If and very big if, they get to the final, probably the worst thing that can happen.

At one point, one of the co-commentators remarked on the two different cultures (one honest, the other cheating).

At various points we had Walker, Sterling, Rose and TVLSDA on the pitch. :)

Yes, we can do without stuff like that.

Same as whenever Italy play, frequent mention of "the dark arts" etc

The commentary was absolutely disgraceful last night. If you just listened to that and not watched any of it, you would have thought England played the most smooth passing game of all time and were the new Barcelona under pep southgate, when in reality it was a dour game and if we weren't playing in it, everyone would be saying that was not a fun game.

They really need to sort that out.

No need to be a prick right now mate, just enjoy the moment instead of trying to troll. We're all English, enjoy this time right now.

Forgot to add Ashley Young to that list of experts at diving, sneaky fouling and wind-ups.

Forgot to add Ashley Young to that list of experts at doing, sneaky fouling and wind-ups.

I was pondering most enigmatically as to whether Young was on the pitch at the same time as the other likeable reprobates or whether it was a small oversight that he didn’t make it to OP. :)

Why not let him back on? Or is it a life ban?
